กล้วยไม้ฮ่องกง เป็นลูกผสมของตระกูล Bauhinia มีใบหนาขนาดใหญ่ และดอกโทนสีแดง-ม่วง มีกลิ่นหอมคล้ายกล้วยไม้ ขนาดของดอกประมาณ 10 - 15 เซ็นติเมตร พบถิ่นกำเนิดในฮ่องกงราว ค.ศ. 1880

Seeds in Bauhinia are quite large and hard, so they need a couple of hours to soak in warm water ิbefore planting. Then the seeds are slightly damaged to allow the sprout to escape freely. After these simple procedures, the seeds are planted in a light ground, closed with a film or glass and placed in a warm place where the temperature will be about 25 °C make sure that the temperature is constant throughout the day, as any fluctuations can adversely affect the seeds.
